One of the highlights of the week here at Lost Creek is our trip to Shadow Mountain on Fridays. We saddle up in the morning, ride to the top of the mountain, and have an incredible lunch cookout on one of the most popular mountaintops in the valley. Those who don't wish to ride horseback can feel free to hike, bike, or ride in a shuttle van to join in. Once lunch is finished we head back down the mountain and make it back to the ranch in time to enjoy the rest of the day at the spa, skeet range, tennis court, or lounging by the pool.

The meal our chefs provide on Shadow consists of a chicken and/or beef stew, Dutch apples, fried potatoes, salads, fresh fruit, bread pudding, and to top it off, ice cream with homemade root beer.

Put a blanket down, have a nice lunch, and enjoy being on top of the world. That's what the Shadow Mountain Cookout is all about!
